Brawl...no one suspended

Had Giants pitcher Eric King pluck rookie Barry Bonds, which created a brewhaha.



Problem was no one was ejected and no one was suspended.

Back in the mid-80s, that was not unheard of. (Unless the HBP[s] and subsequent brawl[s] got out of hand, like the infamous Padres-Braves throwdown of Aug. 12, 1984. Here's a SABR article on 17 players getting ejected, and here's Jomboy's retrospective.)

Was it spring training? I don't think any suspensions are given then.

Do you have suspensions enabled? Could be if none were handed out and it was a regular season game the option was somehow turned off?

In a historical game using real lineups I don't think a suspension is possible. Your mention of Bonds suggests a historical game, unless you are playing some type of custom game.

No idea if any of these things are the cause but may be worth checking out.

It was during the regular season
It is a historical game....which I believe suspensions do happen. Could be wrong.

Historical with real lineups?

Without real lineups I would think suspensions happen.

With real lineups the AI is going to run out the actual lineup that played that day. It can't do that if a player is suspended.

I don't know that is your issue, just throwing it out as a possibility.
