"FastSpring Checkout" is evil!

I am trying to play OOTP 24. Every time I open it, I get the ad for purchasing OOTP 25 for a discount up to the All Star Game. When I click on either of the buttons that are supposed to allow you to proceed to the game, I am redirected to the "FastSpring Checkout" website.

This last time, I had to try to start up the game FIVE times before it finally allowed me to start the game.

At this point, I am losing more and more of my interest in purchasing OOTP 25 because of these tactics.

Try pressing Tab and then Enter a couple of times.

It's a glitch a lot of people have reported in the last few days. Hopefully it'll get fixed soon.

+1. If it's a glitch, fine. Shut the danged thing off until it's fixed. Not at ALL impressed.

You can turn it off.

Since it looks like it's only an issue with OOTP24 and not OOTP25 (I didn't clue into that until someone else pointed it out to me), I doubt it will get fixed since I don't remember them ever patching a previous version once a newer one is out. So I suggest just disabling them as explained in the link above.
