India Premier League (IPL) Quickstart

Seems like the India Premier League, the most lucrative T20 cricket league in the world ought to have an OOTP counterpart featuring the real teams from that league and fictional players since OOTP is so equipped to do that.

I guess I'll work on it, though the graphic parts will take a bit.

I will jump in on the uniforms. This is a project I would love to add to my fictional world. I will start working on them and post in the graphic section.

PERFECT. Okay, this will motivate me to get the structure together. I already did it last night, though in my original setup I added some UAE expansion teams. I'll remove them and redo the structure and import these into what we have.

You can leave them in if you want, just point me in the right direction in terms of team names and I can do uniforms for them as well. It is not a big issue.

Deccan Chargers (may be defunct??? They existed in 2013 I believe)

I have a league with nine teams:

Kochi Kerala Tuskers
Dehli Daredevils
Rajasthan Royals
Punjab Kings XI
Chennai Super Kings
Bangalore Royal Challengers
Hyderabad Sunrisers
Mumbai Indians

Tuskers are defunct in real life, but I didn't delete them.

Here are the UAE teams that we could add to a future updated release:

Sharjah Shoguns
Dubai Dazzlers
Abu Dhabi Admirals

That'd give the league 12 teams.

Deccan Chargers are defunct and were replaced by Sunrisers Hyderabad who play in the same stadium and same city, just a different owner.

Here's the updated version of the quickstart. Only 8 teams now, all existing in the current IPL season.

Included are Isedelyod's IPL logo & uniform set which he graciously churned out for us to use!

I can't believe this is 6 years old, but time flies. I'd been thinking about it the other day and so went through the effort of migrating upward from OOTP15 through OOTP21 so folks could use this quickstart in OOTP21. I have every other version too, but won't upload those unless someone asks, lol.

How would I integrate this into my current game that I am playing? I'd love to have this league alongside the other global leagues in my modern game.

This is for OOTP21 and it's a quickstart so you'd probably have to open it as a separate league imported into 22 and then create a template based on the structure. Unless I'm mistaken, that'd be the easiest way to integrate the structure into your current league. The players were all fictional anyway, so no real issue there.

I've updated this Quickstart for OOTP23. It's exactly the same it was when we made it years ago, I have made zero modifications but...it's a fun structure with logos intact if you just want something weird to input into your OOTP universe.
