Trace Mode?

I don't know if I did this correctly because the instructions are incredibly confusing one place to another, but I am working on uploading my debug file from an issue that won't let me live start from today's date and all it does is tell me my files are invalid or too large. All I want to do is start a game from today and I've spent an hour just trying to follow this convoluted process. Any help appreciated.

Paste all that trace log stuff to a .txt file that will be an allowable upload format and a smallish file
