Request for 6.5 - 26 teams (4/5/4) 162 games

Hello again,

I am back as we are starting another new league, and after GMO's fantastic work with our 30 team https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=354972 , hoping we can get a 26 team one. The leagues are split evenly at 13 a piece. As stated in the title, the middle (central specifically) divisions have the 5th teams.

Again, if this exists, my apologies as I didn't find it except for the newer formats (we use 6.5 as stated). We're looking for a schedule that kind of mimics what we've used:

- Starts 4/1 and ends on an off day of 9/30 (it can start in March and go into October if needed, same as the 30 team result).
- Balanced (ish):
7 games (any split of 4/3 or 3/2/2 is fine) against the 12 teams in your league (84 games) and 6 games (3/3 home and away) against the 13 teams in the other league (78 games). If there's a better balanced format, that would be fine as well.
- Off days are uniform - the 15th and last day of each month. We had pondered adding in the 8th and the 22nd as well - if that fits, fantastic. If not, no big deal. Again, willing to wiggle on this like last time.

- All Star Break is in July 15, 16 (AS Game), 17

Thanks!

There are possibilities for how to address it, but at first I see a problem here. With 13 teams per subleague, there has to be at least one team from each subleague playing interleague at a given time. But with 4-game (or 2-game) series involved with intraleague play, having only 3-game interleague series will not align exactly.

That earlier 30-team case worked because it all 3-game series for intraleague (6 games per opponent) and mix of 2-game and 3-game series for interleague (5 games per opponent). The 2-game interleague series could be used at times when everybody is playing interleague, and 3-game could be used when otherwise there was intraleague play too. In other words it was possible to have everyone playing the same length of series at the same time whether it be a mix or just interleague, but that is not possible exactly as this is described.

Some ways to handle this would be to keep the game distribution but make offdays not uniform. I think the better approach for you though would be to play some interleague opponents 7 times and some intraleague opponents 6 times. Have not mapped it out, but I think that doing so would allow for having everyone playing same-length series at the same time to keep offdays consistent.

Thanks gmo!

Either option is fine in the end. I think I'd prefer the offdays option, but ultimately whatever works better/is easier for you. The swap of inter and intra is perfectly fine too. If feasible, the reduction of those games would come against non-divisional foes, and placed against interleague foes of the matching division, or if that doesn't work, the foes outside of your division and either the foes in your matching interleague division or non-matching interleague divisions, but none of that is by any means required.

Turned out only needed drop one league team to 6 games and add to make 7 against one interleague opponent, but there is not necessarily method to how that was done.

Same story as last time, I think I have the old-style CSV done correctly here. New LSDL is included below since that is standard now.

That is fantastic news, thank you! I'll take a poke for issues, but there were none with the 30 team, so all should be good!
