Scouting discoveries
Has anybody had a highly impactful scouting discovery? Im in 2078 just landed back to back 4 star potential ones. Went back through a ton of rosters and I don't have any that has ever made it to the MLB that I see especially of any star caliber guys.

I have. I don't track the discoveries very closely, but I did once check to see where I had gotten the guy that is pretty much the cornerstone of my franchise (e.g. draft, trade, FA, discovery). Gold glove shortstop, .300+ hitter (although that has faded over the years, by far the highest career WAR for my franchise.
Like I said, I don't pay close attention to that, or other teams, but that is my in-house experience. As I suppose should be expected, these guys are hits and misses, but this in one case for me that has really paid off. |

In my current sim, a scouting discovery won both MVP and Rookie of the Year after I traded for him. I'm in my second year with him and while he won't win MVP this year, we're in August and he's on pace for a 7.3 WAR season.
I had another sim in the past where a scouting discovery for a different team was a perennial All-Star and home run leader. |

Absolutely, for myself and others. I'd be upset if it were constant, but when my league gets going I tend to check the history of new talented players and I've seen them many times over the years. As you should, IMO, but I guess that's your point.
