ideas for some changes on how stats are presented and more

Really enjoying OOTP 26 so far. A few small suggestions for improvement in user interface.

1) On the sortable stats screen can there also be access to the data against pitchers? All of this exists in the game- you can access that through the player screen- but it would be great to be able to see it at more general levels in line with the other splits.
2) Can real statistics be one of the options on the sortable stats screen - simliar to choosing other timeframes?
3) And when you come back into a game (I do save and leave to check general statistics which I can't access in the in-game screen) is there a way to preserve what was chosen in options previously. I am using a human vs. computer set up, and I have to go back in and manualy choose the human manager vs the ai every time.
4) And finally, and I admit this is a at a different order- it would be amazing that without leaving the in-game screeen once can have access to all of the reports. That is the kind of immersion- being able to check any contextual point while you are playing the game- which for me is really missing.

I appreciate being able to raise these points in this forum.

Some good ideas there, most I'll leave for the developer as I've no idea how hard or easy it would be have everything available from in the "play out game" module.

The quote, and you appearing to be a fairly new user (apologies if that's wrong), has me wondering what "player lineup" screen you are using while playing out games. When you go to the substitution screen there is a default setup that doesn't give a lot of information. There is also an option in the header "show customizable player list" with a little checkbox next to it.

If you check that box you get a "normal" listing of players. This will be the same information that you get under the pitching and batting lineups tab on your team's home screen. From here you can sort batters/pitchers, or any sort available that is available on your team's screen. All of your views, filters, and splits menus are there too.

Maybe you are aware and already using this screen? If so, great. I only bring it up because I pointed it out to another user, not long ago, and he had no idea it was there.

It won't give you the data against pitchers you are askig for. That is something I have always wanted too. This is shown on the pregame screen as you say. So why not a split of "vs current P" or better yet.... What I'd really like to be able to do is select a P from my bullpen and have a split where I could see how he pitched against the current lineup. Sample size may mean it's not really all that helpful, but it would still be nice to know when deciding who to warm up, ie Pitcher A has owned the next three batters, while Pitcher B has been destroyed by those same batters.

Anyway I hope this has been of some help to you.

Thanks for your comment Sweed. I've actually used the game a lot, but have been less active in the forum. In any case, I definately do use that check box you are speaking about and it provides a lot more information, but it doesn't give me anything contextual to the rest of the league. What I am looking for is to say that my shortstop is hitting .266 against righties- and that places him 4th among active shortstops against righties- while I am playing out the game itself. Right now I believe that in order to get that contextual reference I need to save and exit the game and then go to the statistics tab. I would love for the statistics tab to be available while I am playing the game. As you said, that is probably a comment for the developers to comment on regarding its viability. But thanks for your help- it is appreciated.
