About Bat Flip Baseball

"BFB" has been going for about 5 years, with many original GMs still involved. We started in-game with the 2020 season and have progressed to the 2044 season. We proudly have robust participation, with high export rates overall. We model the league after real-life MLB rules (i.e. no draft pick trading, small markets are eligible for competitive balance picks, and other rules.). We sim Monday-Friday during the regular season and seven days a week in the off-season. Each sim usually runs 7 days. We use Slack and Stats+, but not Discord.

We are using OOTP 25 to finish the season that just started this week, and will switch to OOTP 26 when it's done.

Current openings:

Boston Red Sox

The Red Sox are a mid-market team with a lot of budget space this year and moving forward. They have the 21st ranked farm system, with three players in the top 100 prospects. They also have the 6th pick in the soon-to-start 2045 draft, and then the second pick in each subsequent round. This happens to be an extremely deep draft, so the sixth pick is likely to be a core building block type of player. If the new GM wants to rebuild, the starting catcher is ranked by OSA as the 4th best catcher in the league, with a 72/72 rating, and might fetch some prospects back. The Red Sox play in a very average AL East, and the path to contention may be smoother than normal.

And, to entice a new GM to take over the team, I am offer a one-time contract amnesty (the player will be released), OR a supplemental second round draft pick.

The Cubs are back open! This is a great time to join as tomorrow we finish the regular season and begin the playoffs, giving the new GM a chance to get to know the team before the offseason begins!

Updated- Red Sox open! We just started the 2045 season and the draft is going to start soon as well! A good time to jump in!
