Faces missing after save game import

Playing on Mac. After importing my main save game from 25 into 26, a lot of players have missing faces in their profile and I don't see any faces in the menus (like on the Meet the Team page) nor in the mouse-over tooltip when hovering over a players name.

The missing profile pictures I can regain via the Editor "Regenerate same picture", but the UI pictures remain missing.

When I start a fresh game in 26, all seems to work fine.

What can I do? Thx in advance.

What kind of game? Historical in year 19xx, A game that has marched into the future so it's mostly fictional players? A wholly fictional league? Also, is there a mid involved like real photos or historical facegens?

So, I dug around and found that if you click on the any players name on the leader board, they all appear because if the game "knows" the photo exists, they appear. See if that is true for you too.

The are trying to trace because the game seems to be running the setup to create the pictures, they just... don't update. They are working it.

My game is in 2034, started with the release of OOTP25 in the 2024 season. So by now it's mostly fictional players.

The missing player faces on their profile pages I can reliable regenerate via the editor functions. It's just a lot of work to do this. The missing player pictures in the UI, like on Meet the Team or in the tool tips, just don't want to reappear.

Got it. So, we are solving for fictional players. Go to Game Settings, Facegen tab, on the left-hand side, top field, choose something other than "none". Then, if that alone doesn't solve it when you next visit a player missing a facegen, under Player Facegen Functions, try "Update/Generate All Players".

If any concerns before doing this, go to File>Backups and make a backup of the save first.

Thx for the quick response and your help. Unfortunately so far this didn't change the situation. I still find players w/o pictures on their profiles and have no pictures on the main pages of the UI, as well as on the tool-tips.

If it is isolated to those pages, it tied to another thread I've seen reporting something similar. So, it's been tracked for resolution but last comment on it was that it was trick one. When on the leaderboard, click the name of the top player on the board and come back and see if that spurs creation there. just a thought until they figure it out.

It's an issue that persists for me even after I went to the page where you set a team's unis and clicked the create pics in the bottom LHC. It works but then the next time you open the game it's back to as the OP described.

Did a full league force update, exited and re-entered the program, no pics again. I have the pic in the player profile as normal and when you go into any screen and back to the team home page the pics are there.

Oddly doesn't appear to affect the owner pic. Player pop-up also OK for me...

This is on a historical game imported from 25 on a Mac.

Good news. The new beta patch, and then force redo all faces seems to fix it. Still testing, but looking good so far.
