OOTP 26 vs 23

Accidentally posted this before in GO...

People's thoughts on investing in the new game? Worth it compared to just playing some new historical saves on an older version - specifically OOTP 23 for me?

Any feedback welcome.

What are a few of the must haves in OOTP 26 compared to 23? I’m thinking of making the switch too.

Do not lose your OOTP 23 install, however, if you play the Japanese leagues.

I think one thing many might overlook would be the expansion of the under the hood player skill ratings going from 255(?) to 600(?) in v26.

OP, I could give you my opinion on whether to buy 26 but that is unavoidably based on what new features interest me. Suggest that you look at the master change lists for versions 24, 25, and 26 to see what interests you.

From 23 to 26 there are too many updates and changes to list. It will feel like a completely new game. What you may like it don't like is up to you.

At the top of each versions forum page is the change list. I think you should peruse them and make your own decision. There are a variety of individual factors unique to each player only you can answer if the upgrade is for you.

Thanks for that, it's very helpful. Are there any major changes to the trading, draft, player development or scouting engines that people have noticed that have a major impact on the game? Most of the smaller changes I'm seeing look quite positive. I ask because I saw a few threads about the development engine changing a lot of things and I have a few large saves.
