Draft Pool Player Ages Too Old

Curious if anyone else has seen this.

I'm playing an MLB standard, and my 2029 draft class has 611 players between ages 23 and 28 and just 211 below the age of 23. Granted, I didn't catch this until the 4th round, but that's only about 115 players taken so far.

I have 20 rounds, generate for 28. Player creation ages/modifiers are default.

I didn't notice this in the previous draft classes, and I didn't find anyone else posting about it, so maybe just a fluke.

I play a fictional league and have my created players set to a minimum age of 16 and a maximum age of 21. Yet, every year in my draft I have several players over 22 that are created. It's as if the game completely ignores the settings. I then go into my draft pool and delete all players out that are older than 21, making sure I still have enough for the draft. I have a 28 team league and have my draft rounds set to 15, created players for 20 rounds. I've been doing this for what feels like years now.

I've found that setting the min age to 14 seems to create realistic enough ages. HS seniors tend to be 17-18, College Juniors tend to be 21, College seniors tend to be 22. Seems like the min age is like an anchor for the other ages.

Thanks, I'll try reducing the minimum age as you suggest and see what happens. Cheers!

It's looking like it was a one off witht the 2029 draft class. The next 2 seasons had expected age ranges. I'll have to do some testing to see if this happens again, and one off, or is it just an issue with the 2029 class in MLB.

I would still post it just to be sure, but that would make sense as I do think the first 3-4 drafts are already pre generated players from 2025. Once 2030 comes around it generates completely new hs/college players. For instance one of the 23 year olds in 2029 could have been a HS senior in your 2025 draft and just wasn't selected

There may be an issue with the progression for some of the pre-generated players, we can take a look to see what might be going on there and fix things up if there is a problem.
