Time to update the audio

I'm usually the graphics guy who has been helping suggesting and helping improve the game with regards to stadiums and uniforms.
i posted this last year, but I think its high time to upgrade the in game audio in a serious way. I know there is a narrator option which was fine years ago as an entry, but its time to at least introduce batter announcements, new pitcher announcements, and play synopses after each play.

Would be nice to hear "Now Batting, Second baseman, number 23, Joe Blow" when Joe blow comes up for the first time in the game.

Or when a relief pitcher comes into the game, he is announced with a decent voice AI or something that doesnt require a separate sound file for each player.

Of course, the in game ambience and music needs an overhaul. I swear the same files from OOTP 5 are being used in 26.

Would be nice to bring the in game sound up to date

Rather than use walk-up music, I use those slots for real-life PA intros for players (at least those I've been able to find over the years).

When there is a rally, I get rally sounds instead of PA intros (and I have my own rally sounds I've curated over the years). But it's better than nothing, and I like having the rally sounds, when pertinent.

Time to update the audio

I couldn’t agree more. To me, better audio would make for a deeper in-game experience than better graphics.

I posted this yesterday in the suggestions forum.

Not audio related, but I've wished forever that when a player gets replaced in the field that the asterisks would appear the same way they do when a new pitcher enters the game. Either that or have the new players on field label flash until the first pitch is thrown.

And, since KBO is an officially licensed league, can we get real Korean baseball game audio? Definitely want the crowd songs/chants but having guys speaking in english the whole time really breaks immersion.

Yes !
Would really add to the immersion factor for those of us who play out all of our games.

I been playing about as long as you have and i swear im reliving the early 2000s every time i hear the audio. I cant believe its never been updated that's not a hard fix. I bet AI could do amazing things with it these days. Although now its almost part of the history and they should keep it another 20 years at this point

I’m not a big fan of only putting asterisk when the computer makes a change. I wish a pop-up option. Would be available to alert to the changes

I deleted all the "ambiance" sounds.

"Here we go now, Here we go now, UH UH UH" at top volume.

There are a bunch of folks who have provided new files in the sound mod forums. Feel free to download their stuff while waiting for OOTP 27…
