How I've been playing random debut lately

I don't see the usual suspects of random debut play here, so I will also post this in the OOTP25 historical forum.

Anyway, I now create a Fictional League first. But before simming through the first season, I set it for historical rookies, from all seasons and eras, no minimum or maximum. I go to rules and set the draft for November 15 and draft pool announcement for 5 days before, because when I eliminate all the fictional players after the first season I don't want the historical players in the pool already present.

I set the draft to the usual 44 rounds. I Sim through the first season and off-season. Then I clear rosters, go to League info and "actions" and delete all the League players.

I then cancel all League history.

I Sim to the first year players draft. So all the players are at the start of their career. We get everyone and every year this way.

Then I set the next draft to just 7 rounds.

Whadda y'all think?

Won’t you end up with an imbalance age distribution of players? If I understand correctly, your first 44 round draft of historical players will all be in their real life rookie year???

Well, I guess I START with an age Imbalance. But that means a level playing field for all players and teams. Later, as those careers develop, new rookies arrive - i use three minor league levels, but it's important after that initial 44 round draft, to limit tge numbers of bew players after that since no one will grow old for a while, though I use "players retire as in real history " and cut the rounds down to 7 after tge first draft.
