How about including stars in packs?

I think a neat feature would be having stars included in packs. So instead of pulling a player you pull a card that was X stars on it and obviously the more stars the rarer it is. Would be a great way for people to earn more stars to use in the shops.

That makes it so stars can indirectly be bought with real money, which is something that shouldn't be able to be done.

How is it any different than using real money to buy a super team and win stars that way?

Agree with cwhitman here. Since Clubhouse Stars are partly a replacement for tournament choice packs, they should not be in regular packs. The difference is that you have to win the stars, regardless of how much actual cash you might spend assembling that winning team.

But with choice packs you could still find the cards from those packs in the card shop, so you still have access to them by just buying them.

This was always true, and rarity and prices were always high. Thus, it's far better to win the card than buy it, just like it's better to select and build a good tournament team than it is to hang out at the auctions looking to bid top dollar for an already-boosted variant card. Allowing people to buy packs for a shot at Clubhouse Stars would penalize players who are putting in the underlying work to identify and develop the best tournament rosters.

yeah, the distinguishing feature of stars is the fact that you can't directly buy them, you have to earn them, whether in league or tournaments. making them purchaseable just makes it another form of perfect points, may just as well have the clubhouse shop with PP instead at that rate
