Disband several teams
Currently, my setup has 48 teams,2 leagues, and 4 six-team divisions. I want to disband 8 teams, one from each division.
I want to release players from the majors and minors. Then hold a free agent draft (including all free agents). Any suggestions on how to disband the teams? I already know how to set up a draft. The draft will spread out the talent more evenly at a lower price tag. I will also add slots to the secondary roster.

Can I edit the league structure? Or should I go to each team and release the players first?
I think the draft should be 5 rounds (200)players, in random order. With the rest becoming free agents? If an MiL player is drafted, does he get an MLB contract?

I'm just bumping this for you. Sooooo many people on here know better than me but I do know you can go back and edit your league structure. You delete teams on the same structure.
Here is the part im not 100% sure about but I THINK, when you delete a team it automatically releases players to the Free Agent list. Someone please confirm this for him? There might be additional ways to disband team but delete from the league structure is the only way I know. Hopefully today someone will tell you 100% about the players to FA list |

Yes, when you delete a team, all players from said team are released to Free Agency.

I wonder what happens if you delete a team that won a pennant or World Series? Will the game's history still show the disbanded team's championship, or will it select the second place team to display as champion? Been so long since I've tried it, but in the past if one started a league in a one subleague format and later wanted to expand to a 2 subleague setup, moving a team that won a championship while in one sublelague form would screw up the history page big time.
