BRBL Seeks GM's for Houston, Los Angeles Angels
The Best Run Baseball League is a cash league ($50 per year) entering its ninth year. All monies are paid out in prizes. These two guys also run the BRHL (Best Run Hockey League) which is in its 21st year.
The BRBL is the most realistic baseball league around. As we approach version 27 of the OOTP game we are preparing for our 10 round amateur draft. This includes the 2025 MLB draftees, the 2025 International free agent class and previously signed players who were not drafted into our league. Last years draft list contained 2.579 players. Once the game comes out we start free agency which leads to our Rule V draft. You have a 126 player roster which includes teams in AAA, AA High A and A . Once the season starts we have daily SIMS which follow the MLB schedule. The advantage to this is if you miss two SIMS you miss two games, not two weeks worth. How do you win money ? Payouts Total Pool (normal year): $1,500 Team Accomplishments – $1,000 total AAA Champion: $10 AA Champion: $10 A Champion: $10 Wild Card Loss: $10 (×2) Wild Card Win: $15 (×2) Division Winners: $45 (×6) Divisional Round Loss: $12.50 (×4) LCS Loser: $50 (×2) World Series Loser: $100 World Series Winner: $400 Individual Awards – $400 total Rookie of the Year: $25 (×2) Cy Young: $25 (×2) MVP: $25 (×2) Silver Slugger: $5 each (×20) Gold Glove: $5 each (×18) Top 10 Prospect (MLB.com late January list): $5 each (×10) #1 Prospect: $5 (additional) Top Farm System (MLB.com WS-end list): $5 GM Awards – $100 total GM of the Year: $75 We use Slack as a chat forum and some participation is expected. There are 7 channels dedicated to baseball and other channels for hockey, football, general, sports and politics. Being active in the hockey and football channels and exhibiting knowledge in those sports will give you an advantage when an opening occurs. An additional way to get an advantage in those leagues is to become an Asst GM. Last edited by baseballandhockeyrock; 02-21-2026 at 08:46 PM. |

The Angels went 47 and 115 with the 19th ranked farm system (led by Charlie Condon) and the # 3 draft pick. |

Astros have a good young core, Nick Kurtz, Oneil Cruz, Alex Bohm, etc. Rotation has guys like Ashcraft, Senda, Sasaki to build around as well. And the AL West is wide open. Can immediately come in and compete
