Player stats question

I am new and started playing in an online league.

When I view the players on the team web page they have different rating numbers than shown when I'm in the game viewing my team. I can understand the effects of the coaches and scouts have on the ratings in the game. The question I have though is are the stats I see on the team web page more accurate than what the scouts are telling me?

Web is shown through "average" scout view, in game is shown through "your" scout view. Also, even two average scouts can be different in their evaluation of a player.

OK. Then other than going in with some sort of editor and learning what the true numbers are, I just have to assume that my over-priced scouts have better knowledge than Joe AverageScout.

As a follow up, do coaches and scouts improve over time or do their abilities remain constant throughout the career?

I appreciate the assistance.

Yes. Now, even Legendary scouts make mistakes, but the difference being not as often as avergae scouts.

Their ratings can get better, or worse over time, just like players.
