Problem with players hitting arbitration too quickly

Hi -

In my league I've got a player in his second season who is showing up as arbitration eligible at the end of the current year. He should have another year of 300k contract. He's currently 28.

Is there a bug that might have older players miss a year of 300k contracts? Or is this just a database issue where he might mistakenly be listed in his 3rd season?

At one point, he was traded. This was back when traded players would be put on the Major League roster. Would this have used up a year of eligibility, even though the owner moved him directly to Triple-A after the trade and he never made an appearance in the big leagues or have his contract change from a minor league contract?

Any help on this would be appreciated.

You are using "Total Minors" roster set that is the problem. http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...threadid=34468

Actually, no. This is a completely fictional league.

I have also seen this in fictional leagues that have edited players, so I would be willing to bet that this would fall under that category.

Yeah, it's a strange one. One of the players may have been edited (we had an issue with a team missing early on), but the other player wasn't edited, it's really strange.

Is it possible that with the initial amateur draft, that the CPU would create a player with a minor league contract (this guy was 20 or 21 when we first drafted) but give him a year of major league time?
