Player stats not moving to new league when traded
I am the GM of an AL team. I recently traded for a NL 1st Baseman and when I auto sim a series, the stats that are presented while simming (showing Standings on the left, news in middle and league leader stats on the right) show the 1st baseman stats still in the NL column although his team designation is showing correctly (my team, AL).
Thanks, Church OOTP BTW: This is in universe that was created after patch in progress 1.02 and obviously a fresh game.

Is it possible no one has passed him yet? He still leads the NL in, say, HRs.
If you look at him in your lineup screen (in the lineup it shows what his stats against the handedness your looking at are) it only shows what he's done for your team (my trade was one AL team to another)... so it wouldn't surprise me that the game is looking through all the NL stats and saying this guy still leads in HRs so we'll put him on the list. So is it adding HRs he hit for your team as basis for his leading in the NL, or is it just waiting for someone to pass him in NL stats... a bug either way, just is it big or small. |

I don't think this is a bug -- this is the way it would look IRL. When a player is traded from the NL to AL or visa versa his stats for the new league revert to zeros. If he had enough AB for qualified rankings or just had good enough stats to be in the rankings (ie HRs) he will stay on the leader boards of the league he was traded away from until somebody passes him or he is no longer qualified for that league.
As a matter of fact I believe Willie McGee one year was leading the NL in hitting while playing with the Oakland A's because he was traded mid-season. This seems to be a fix from the older versions of the game because it is wrong to have the stats cross-over from league to league. In the past if a player in the NL had hit 25 HRs and was traded mid-season he would carry those stats to the AL, and could possibly be the league leader in that league before even having an AB with his new team. |

Ok - I did not realize that his stats were suppose to stay in the NL for the remainder of the year. I assume then next season when he starts with my clud his stats will show in the AL.
For the record, his stats did revert to 0 for the AL while keeping his NL stats. Thanks guys! Church OOTP

I didn't put this in before but -- if you are looking at a combined leaderboard and not just an AL or NL you should see your player there because obviously the stats for both leagues are compiled there.
