"Error-- Could not load game. Database is corrupt"

This today, after playing several seasons in a historical league beginning in 1901. Last time I played everything seemed normal, and the exit was normal. All the .dat files appear to be there in the saved_games folder.

What gives? I would hate to lose the history of this league, and would always worry it'll happen at any time.

Please first make a copy of the complete league folder. It's in My Documents/SI.../OOTP/data/saved_games/ and has the extension .lg
Just copy the whole folder to be safe.
Then rename the file faces.dat to something else. Does OOTP start now?

I renamed the faces file (it was only 5 bytes) but no change. The 1901- game still will not load. No new faces.dat file has been created, if that matters.

PS: OOTP starts and works properly with other game universes I've created, but not with this one.

Tim, is this still causing a problem for you? If so, could you zip up and FTP your .dat files to us as explained in this thread:
