"Minnesota Nice"
I've heard that folks from Minnesota are incredibly friendly and polite (at least if Marge from the movie "Fargo" is any indication), but either this is larceny, a bug, or Minnesota Nice taken too far:
![]() The Minnesota manager is offering me a trade some time after the July 31 trading deadline. I am using the MAL quickstart and I have patched my game. What are you considering a bug? Trades are made after the deadline in baseball...players just have to clear waivers.

In real life (and consequently, in the game) July 31 is only the non-waiver trade deadline. After July 31, you can still make trades, however, the players must past through waivers.
MLB.com did an article about it at last year's trade deadline, found here: http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/a...=.jsp&c_id=mlb |

Thanks for the heads-up; of course, there's the waivers, somehow that had completely slipped my mind. As Lionel Hutz would say, "Case closed!"
