Computer takes team over after import from 6.51

After I imported a 6.51 league into OOTP, I then chose to take over the team I managed in 6.51 (but I didn't choose commissioner mode). When I took a look at my team, a lot of my ML players were put on waivers and rookie-ball quality players were on the big league roster as well as on the 40 man roster. I then had to do a juggling act to save them from being released.

In the news block, it was also mentioned that someone was fired and I took the team over. It should be that I am the original manager/GM and not "replacing" someone else.
