Going on vacation...
AFter creating my universe and taking control of a team (fictional, post-patch) I decided to build up some history for the league. So, I put my guy on vacation, set the AI to run everything, and let the game run its course. First season, my team went 80-82. Second year, we went 54-108. Then, in the third year, the team went 16-146!!! Luckily, I wasn't fired...but I checked out the team to see what could be done (considering how well we drafted the year before) and found only 19 players on the roster, with only 7 pitchers (3 SP, 3 MR, 1 CL). I thought nothing of it, since we were in the post-season, so I simmed ahead to Opening day, to find my roster still only contained 3 starters and 3 middle relievers. Needless to say, I had to start all over.
The Computer AI cannot handle working in the stead of a human manager. |

I cannot fathom this, nor the vacation "feature".
I do know that you can't run the team from the beach. |

I had the AI in charge of EVERYTHING - roster moves, signing players, etc. and I ended up with a deficient number of players.

I believe this may be due to some of the earlier issues with AI roster management, and should be much improved in the Patch 2.
I just did what you did in the patch beta, and simmed 2 straight seasons on vacation. At the end of the 2 years, I had a 144-180 record, and my roster looked fine. For now, I'm going to mark this as "Claim Fixed." Please let me know if you want to discuss further! Steve |
