Importing Rosters
Is there a special trick to getting rosters to import?
Here's what I've done: I exported the rosters from one league, and it creates the file: cnbl_rosters.txt. I then created a new league, with an identical number of teams in the exact alignment as the other league. From Game Setup I click on Import Rosters. I find the right directory and click on the cnbl_rosters.txt file. It lists the size of the file fine. I then click IMPORT. It starts the process, gets to 47% and then shows a fatal error which crashes the game completely and closes the entire program. Any ideas? |

Scuffle,
I may be wrong on this (I'll check), but I don't believe the roster export/import functionality is designed to allow you to export rosters from one game and bring them into another game. They're mainly allow you to export, modify the date, and re-import into the same league. I don't believe this feature can do what you're asking it to do... Let me know if this helps. Thanks, Steve |

Isn't this what this thread is all about? I've tried something similar and have gotten halfway through but it crashed.

The 47% certainly rings a bell. I think if you follow the instructions, it will solve your problem.

I'm fairly certain this issue has been resolved, moving to Claimed Fixed.
There was previously an issue where a quotation mark in the nickname field would cause the import to crash. If it's still not working for you, open your roster file in Excel, and look for any fields with quotation marks ("). Delete those out, and try again. If it's stopping at 47%, it's probably right near the middle of the file. Thanks! Steve |
