Import Question

I am new to OOTP baseball so my apologies if this has been asked somewhere else. I was trying out the demo version and I was wondering if real life major league players from present day (and past) are available to try out? I didn't seem to see that as part of the demo version of the game. Also from what I read, it should be possible to import stats from real major league seasons. I think I found where you would do that but I am not 100% sure. Do you have to grab the data from somewhere else first? Does it have to be placed in a specific directory? Just curious as I would like to try out the different features before I decide to progress further. Thanks in advance for any help.

Sorry for the delay in responding. Real life major league players are not included in the game by default, but many people create custom "roster sets" with real MLB players.
