Deleted Leagues Residue

I know there's been some threads about Illegal number of rosters etc... and often I read the comment, "but I don't HAVE a team named the Wyoming Roadsters!" or such.

I'm just starting a league, but populated, in part, the free agent pool with players released from minor league teams I created then deleted. All of those players' histories show 'Joined Wyoming Roadsters' or whatever team they were originally on before the league was deleted. If you click on that link (in their histories) you'll get the original html along with access to many empty pages that relate to those teams.

Right now I don't have a problem, except to note that league deletions are not cleaning up after themselves and I worry that there might be, literally, some residual effect.

Don't know if this applies to you, but it was posted in General Discussions during the wee hours this morning:

I have been trying to use a 16 team template from padre's site. I have been deleting 4 of the teams in the team restructure area. And then putting in all my logos etc and trying to run my seasons. Needless to say, I have been getting the old illegal players "bug". Well, its not a bug. When you delete a team from your league template, you have to go regenerate the league schedule. Instant problem solved. I'll let you know if I'm right in the morning.

I don't believe that this is an issue. Even if the league was deleted (disbanded), the players in your universe still participated in it. This is intentional behavior, to my knowledge. If you have any functional problems related to deleting leagues, please feel free to post them in Tech Support for discussion. Thanks.
