Converting old league to 2007

I am wondering can I download an OOTP 6.5 file into OOTP 2007. Is is compatable? A lot of players have stars they do not want to loose. Also I am looking for the link to the place where I can by a website. Please respond asap. We are in the off season and i want to set up my league and practice the game.

6.5 leagues can be imported into v2007. there is a choice on the startup page to do so. you mention that you are in the offseason. in order to convert the league to v2007, you will need to finish the offseason and make sure the league is on opening day (the first day you have a game scheduled in the new year). you cannot convert a 6.5 league at any other time than opening day. when you do the import, you will need to add your minor leagues manually (use the Add Minor League button on the bottom right of the screen), but all of the players will convert over.

please post here if you are having trouble with the import and i will try to help walk you through it.

i cannot help you with the web site information you are looking for. maybe someone else can hop in here to help you with that.
