Problem with players duplicating

Along with my historical sim, I also created a small 8 team league in Australia. Everything was fine until I expanded that league to 12 teams in 1946. All of a sudden, historical players are importing to their correct teams in MLB, and also making their rounds in the Aussie amateur draft! For instance, I have a Mickey Mantle on the Yankees and a Mantle on one of the teams in Australia.

Obviously this is a problem. I am about to just randomize all player names in Australia, but I don't want the new guys to keep coming in the league. Is there a setting change I can make?

Did you set the Australian league up as totally separate from the MLB league?

If yes, did you change your Australian league settings away from the historic database and the draft of real players? I'm assuming you wanted them to be fictional.

It is setup as an International, independent league. There was no problems for 40+ years while fictional amateurs were being drafted in the Australian league (ABA).

It's just that when I expanded the league, something happened to where historical players are being generated into that league, too.

Welp I hit randomize player names, when the ABA was selected but didn't realize that meant for every league in my game. So now all of my MLB guys have fake names. Sweet... 50 years of simulation down the drain.

I think I'm just going to restart, and if I create a fic. league in 1950 then import the MLB in 2007, will it have league history, correct hall of famers, leaderboards, etc? Players clickable?
