Coaching and historical leagues

Does anybody play with coaching on using the historical databases? If so, is it more of a challange, because, for example, if you don't nurture good players, they will not end up being the stars they were in real life? Also, what is the usual level of minors people use in historical leagues?

I use coaches on and scouts off.

Bad coaching = not as much developement. If you use historical recalc coaching doesn't make any difference.

I use the standard minor levels. AAA, AA, A, SA, R
