How are the tokens used in the HTML templates, and what reports use what files?
The reason I ask is that I'm slightly confused - there are the following templates: player_report_page.tpl player_report_page_start.tpl Both include some of the same info - the player_report_page_start.tpl file has just the first 20 or so lines of the HTML file, while player_report_page.tpl looks to have the entire page. There are no call-outs that I can see in player_report_page.tpl to the start, end templates. When is each used? The reason I ask is that I want to customize the pages, and I understand that you cannot substitute any token for one that isn't already in use in the file. To that end, here's my example: Current player pages show the following text in the Title tag as well as in the header section: Player Report for #12 Joe Blow This comes from the [%TITLE] token, from what I can tell. I would prefer something like: RF Joe Blow Player Profile In the player_page_report.tpl, there are the following tokens: [%Name] [%Position] When I try to use these in the Title tag in the HTML markup, they don't show up. It would appear that the player reports are combined from several different tpl files. Is there any guidance available on what templates actually make up what report outputs? Hi there.
I'm very sorry your issue has sat here for so long without a response. ![]() First off, your example got kind of truncated, so I'm not sure where you were going with that. I'm afraid I don't have the information you're asking for, generally speaking. For example, I don't have a document describing all of that that I could pass along. Can you give me a specific example of what end result you'd like to accomplish? It might be easier for me to provide an answer in that manner. Thanks, Steve |

Sorry Steve - had to view the thread in Firefox since I had embedded an HTML tag without thinking.
Ideally, what I'm trying to achieve is to be able to see what kind of play I have with new player pages. Some of the tags clearly can't be changed, like the TITLE tags which seem to be populated from the game itself. If I can tell which template pieces map to which major pages, then I can piece them together as I like. I was thinking of putting tabs into the player page, similar to what you might see from a Fox sports, etc., and I think I can do it by calling javascript and just using DIV tags to display the right info, but need to be sure I know what I'm pulling in. There are just too many template files to experiment too much. Also looking to see if I can do anything here to avoid having to recreate PHP style pages to pull from a database, but may need to do that to try to retain some of the history of our league. Hope I'm not rambling too much. Thanks |

I'm sorry that no one ever seemed to be able to come up with an answer to your question, Sox9418. Were you ever able to figure this out? Maybe by posting in the Mods sub forum?

As this thread has gone more than two weeks without a reply, it will now be closed for housekeeping reasons so that Tech Support volunteers can more promptly find and address active issues. If you need any further assistance with this issue, all you have to do is post a link to this thread in Tech Support and we can pick up right where we left off. Thanks.
