When I go into Managing a game.... I can toggle between "Options & Preview" and Teams Stats Page

When i go into My team line-ups or team line-up it freezes.... I can start a game and play.... but It freezes if I go into line-ups.

I have changed my motherboard since plast playing a game. I have a pentium -4 gigabyte board. my old motherboard crashed which was an intel. Still using same processor.

Which version of the game are you using, please?

Do you have this problem in only one league, or in any league you try to play? If just the one league, what type of league is it?

Just how huge is your fictional league? What operating system are you using, what processor do you have, how much RAM, and how much free hard drive space?

2 ghz processor
2 gb ddr 800 ram

58 leagues

Once again.... Only freezes when I go into line-ups during the game or webcast... I can play the game fine until I get ready to change a player or go into webcast.

The first year ran fine.

Seems like more out of curiosity..... lol

All the small leagues around the world.... I made logos and uniforms for... with the help of some online contributors....

I spent the good part of a year just getting the leagues together.

644 teams
31792 Players

That isn't a lot of teams. Hrm. Still, it has to be taxing upon the game.

Hrm. Is this only for one particular team? What if you try to Act As and manage a different team, maybe in a different league?

When you start up a game, do you have the "Simulate World in Background" option set to "YES"? If so, given the number of leagues you have going, maybe you should try turning it off.

I turned off "Simulate World in Background"

Same if I mange another team in a different league during commissoner mode.

I bring up task manager and hit the line-up screen during the game. the cpu monitor never goes over 50%. I am able to do everything inside the game and outside..... Why would it freeze up when you lineup screen and I am able to play the game fine (until I make an substutition). I am a computer technician so my understanding of computers are a little higher than others.

I also don't understand how I can run one year with no problem. Everything runs fine until I hit the line-up screen during a game. I am wondering how my whole league would be taxing, but if I don't make any changes I can complete the game. sim the day and enter the game the next day with no problem.

Yeah, this is a weird one. Given the likely size of your files, I can't believe that I'm going to say this, but if you can find me on AIM (Nutlaw), you can try sending me a copy of the .dat files to play around with. Maybe I can find something that stands out.

Okay, I played with this for about 45 minutes and got crash after crash before realizing our problem: we aren't running supercomputers.

Your universe as set up is impossible to run. You have 58 leagues. Each one is set to record a very high detail of stats. All box scores and game logs are saved. You are storing all news logs. Scouting and coaches are on. FaceGen is on for all players and coaches. It's just too much. I have a very modern computer myself, and I can't even save the game without freezing up the program.

Here's what I did. I shut off scouts and coaches. I deleted all leagues except MLB and the two AAA leagues. I deleted all of the resulting free agents. All of my crashes went away. I can save fine. I can look at lineups in-game fine. Everything runs fine.

You need to cut back on some of your settings and/or size. Clearly, you don't have to do anything as drastic as what I did, but you need to find a reasonable midpoint. My advice is that you scale back bit by bit until your universe can function again. Please also be aware that the more history that you build up, the more difficult it will be to run this thing.

Is there anything else that I can help you with?
