One Man Rotation
I'm using the patched version of OOTP 9. I just completed a 4 game series against the Minnesota Twins in June and had to face Francisco Liriano all 4 games! He had no fatigue penalty and his stats didn't carry over from game to game.
On June 2nd, Liriano is the only Twin to start a game, and his stats only show 1 start every day. Liriano's good, but he's not THAT good. ![]() If you need screenshots or a league backup or something I can provide them. |

Did you start a new MLB game with the patched version or was this a carry-over game from the original v9?
A lot of people have reported issues with Liriano, but they were all with a game created with the original release.

This was a new game with the patch. I just started it a couple of days ago and got the patch the day it was released.

Identical problem (and setup) here although I did opt into commissioner mode, forced the Twins rotation to strict order and the next pitcher to #2 in the rotation and unchecked commissioner mode. The subsequent Twins game saw a recording of pitcher statistics for starter #2. Moving to the next day, however, saw a return to Liriano scheduled for the next day's start.
If it helps, the Twins relievers are all being used and their statistics recorded - this only affects the starting rotation. I will move this forward in a few hours to see if it continues now I have "forced" the rotation to start recording statistics.

Yeah, the relievers in mine are being used too. It's just the rotation that's bugged.
Anyone test to see if this happens when you GM the Twins? |

I looked into my start for 2008 quick start.
I ran it over time to get to the draft pool and then to the draft itself. I was not GM of any team. Just opened it up and looked at Mr. Liriano.. All looks good 21 starts 10-6 selected to the All-Star game. Scott Baker is 20 starts with 8-6 record, Nick Blackburn, Anthony Swarzak and Boof Bonser are rounding out a perfect 5-man rotation. F.Liriano had the opening day then Baker actually was the 2nd starter, Bonser the 3rd starter and Livan Hernandez got the 4th start, Kevin Slowey finished off the rotation in April. No boogie man Liriano taking care of everything.... I got the last patch (only) and I did only correct the stuff mentioned before like the AI setting up 40 man rosters and such. |

Curiously, after my series with the Twins, the rotation appears to have started working.

Guys, you need to do a full re-download and installation of version 9.0.27 to fix these particular MLB Quickstart issues. Simply pasting the .exe file won't solve it.
Liriano and others were incorrectly set as retired in the initial release. You need to start a new game with the full reinstall of version 9.0.27 to avoid these problems. Since this issue has been addressed in the full install of version 9.0.27, I will close this out. If you have any further trouble, please don't hesitate to post in Tech Support. |
