Angry Crashes when trying to simulate spring training

Looks like we spoke too soon on getting this issue resolved. Although it made it perfectly fine through the '31 season after using OTTP8 to move past spring training, the '32 season gave me a dose of the same $%&# bug. Last year it crashed on April 10, the day after ST games ended. This time it melts down on April 7, a day with a full slate of games and more to follow.

So I have no clue what this damn game is tripping up on. I have no idea where to look to see what's amiss. First time, there are NO games. Now it dies with several days left in ST.

If I can't figure out why this is happening, I will be forced to chalk up OTTP9 as a serious waste of money and go back to v8. OTTP9, in my opinion, is a dog...with fleas!

Crashes and won't get past spring training

After that first season (after using OOTP8 to move past ST), everything worked fine until 4/7 of ST, with games scheduled to be played on that day for a day or two after that as well.

So I have zero clue what to look for. I have just gone back to OOTP8 and decided to leave 9 alone. Nice features I will miss but it seems way too buggy (look at all the posts under this forum topic -- one I have never had to look at before).

Done. File is J.HenryWaugh.zip uploaded today. It has crashed three straight times in spring training, different times, different years.

The reason it crashes is your league totals settings... The HR modifier is out of whack, please set it to 1.0 ...

Holy Steroids, Batman! No wonder I had five guys blow by Herman George's single season HR record in one year!

First time to pass spring training

Fingers crossed, but I finally made it past ST after fixing my HR modifier, which Markus said was way off (and 'way off' might be an understatement). Any idea how this modifier kept getting messed up on imports? I checked my OOTP8 setup and it was fine.

Could you try converting the league again using 9.1.2? If it doesn't work properly, could you please upload your OOTP8 files for us to look at?

Gee, maybe it was one of those fleas.

I count it a good thing the tech support staff (and developer!) didn't pass judgment on you as quickly as you did the game.

No joke. At least a thank you would suffice.

Perfection costs a lot more than many of us could ever afford.

Hey now. It gets frustrating when your game doesn't work the way that you want it to and you can't figure out why. This seems to be an obscure problem, and I would have been quite frustrated with it as well.

Hopefully with a bit more information, we should be able to root it out.
