Zipped my .dat files and posted them to your ftp site
I've exhausted possibilities. Gave up on MLB rosters. Gave up on Nortons, even though it had never affected earlier OOTPBB versions.
Still crashes after I play out a game and either try to advance or save. It sometimes even crashes when simming multiple days or weeks, but this is much rarer. Clearly, there is an issue with playing out a game and then trying to move on with life. I also tried turning off the simming of other games. I can't think of anything else to do, short of applying napalm to my PC and setting it on fire. That, most likely, would stop the crashes. So, I zipped it under "orwell" and posted it.

More information about crash pattern
In case this helps ...
Instead of actually managing games, I tried playing them out and advancing by half innings (i.e. instead of play by play). This worked for a solid week, no crashes. In other words, able to exit game, advance day, no crashes - for an entire week. That is impossible when I try to play a game out. After the successful week, the game autosaved, no problems. I then called up a guy from AAA, reordered lineup and bullpen, then went to league sked. My team didn't play that day, so I advanced the day and the game crashed. There are just too many variables for me to figure out the exact thing I or my system is doing "wrong." That's why I'm hoping the .dat files I uploaded will be examined. The game is unplayable in its current form.

OK, this league does not crash at all, I played out games for 3 weeks, and did all sorts of stuff with no crashes. The reason is probably that I use the new patch, so your problems is either a) fixed or b) system-dependent, meaning that something on your PC interfers with OOTP and causes it to crash.
The patch will be released as a beta on Wednesday, please keep me posted if it works for you ![]() |

This is a duplicate thread. We'll discuss your crashing issues in one of your other threads for now.
