Baseball Digest on google book search
Don't know if anyone's mentioned this before but every copy of Baseball Digest between the 40's and 1997 is now available at google book search.

I stumbled across it some months back. I was entering search terms in Google and some the results came up from Google Books.
It's great, because they often have free preview pages of books, and usually there's enough of a preview to either find directly what you're looking for, and if not that, then enough to see if the book in question would be worth trying to buy or borrow from the library, as availability dictates. I've bought two books because of the previews of them available via Google Books. For those who may not be aware of it, issues of Baseball Magazine and Sporting Life can be found for free online at the LA84 web site. Here's the link for the search page. |
