Can I get a check to make sure that it did this right?

Okay I am of course a total n00b and so I think I have this fingered out but I want to make sure. I want to run the Mets organization from 1962 onward. I want to use the real players as well as fictionals with the fictionals also maybe have the talent to play in the show. I also what to have the minors fully done even though I know that the current system didn't really start until the late 80's or so. A) I don't have the warewithall to add them as I go historically all that extra time is time that could be spent playing, and B) feel that the current MiLB should have been around a lot earlier anyway.

So I started the creation process by hitting the historical league through the advanced set-up. I choose 1962 the first year that the NY Mets were in exsistance. Of course the game has all the teams and everything already set-up so that is easy. I establish all the normal rules that were in effect, AL DH, since I will have minors I set the 25 and the 40 man. I set the proper waiver and DFA days. I have enabled the rule 5 and went with the option years. (Yes I know that these are a bit before the proper time but I am basically hybrid the entire experience to use historical/fictions/and most of the modern rules). I put trading on but no draft picks just players.

Now here is the part that I really want to see what everyone thinks. I have enabled the entire MiLB with every team. Then I also added a feeder league, for no ghost players. The reason for this is because I actually want the organizations under the big club to be about something too. The feeder league is a High School league. I figured since the numbers that the manual say you need after the dividing and all is 84 teems to completely feed all the leagues all the way up. But I don't need that many because the RL players will come in as well. So I have it set for the feeder league to have to have 48 teams.

The reason that I have done it this way is that, like I said what a hybrid league. I also have set the financial one, with the draft, and all the rules and such on converted to 1962 and set to change every year.

My question to you more experiences folks is if you think a setup like this is doable. Second do you think that the amount of teams in the feeder league is good or should it move either up or down? Also do you feel that I may be creating a inflation in the terms of greatness that will be available?

And lastly is the importation of historical players every year at draft time automagically done or will I have to do something to make sure they come in.

Your players will be automatically imported if you have it selected. If you created a historical league it should be automatically selected. You just have to decide if you want players drafted to their rookie team as they were in real life or if you want to have a draft.

I think you may want to move that feeder league to the recommended amount. From what I've read it seems like you have the rookies import with their original team option turned on right? If thats the case, each team will only import a handful of guys a year.I don't think thats going to be enough to fill out 5 or 6 minor league clubs for 20 teams.
