PC: problems with demo

I have downloaded (OOTP 9) and installed it 4 times but i keep getting this error

"the application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). click ok to terminate

Any suggestions. I'm thinking about buying the game but I would like to give the demo a shot first.

If you're on Vista, try right clicking on the application icon and selecting "Run as Administrator".

In that case make sure your pc meets the minimum requirements. Also, could you post the specs of your pc here?

i didnt check the minimum requirements but I can't imagine my computer doesnt qualify. Its not a super computer but its not a piece of junk either

Windows XP Media Edition
AMD Athlon 64 x2 Dual
Core Processor 5000+
2.61 GHz 2.00 GB of Ram

Do i need to leave it set that way to play the game. If so, how will it affect my computer?

You can just leave it this way. Your system will more than likely run better set like this. Services that are not being used by programs or the OS just waste memory anyway. If you happen to start noticing issues with your pc or other programs, you can always reverse the setting.
