Beginner's questions
1. Do ticking the option to let AI move player up down the minor really work? Doesn't seem so for me, each season they stay put.
2. a high star potential will surely lead to good numbers or just higher probability? 3. you get better record playing every matches or simulate? 4. I know there is bookmark but any hotkey for the most basic advance a day? can get tiring clicking out all around the monitor |

2. I would say just a higher probability especially if you are not playing a historical league with recalc on. Some may be better or worse. Probably depends more on how you use him, injuries and other breaks in the game rather than be set in stone that the player will be good. But if you have 2 players with the same rating and same age at the same position then it might be better to take the one with the higher rating. But theres no guarantee. 3. I think its just something you will have to try and make a decision. There are some here that play out every single game. I dont think you will get a better record just by playing one way or another. Too many what ifs in both cases. Its probably better to choose by which way do you enjoy most. 4. I just use the sim to date or move the arrow to the next day. Im not sure what you mean on this. |

There is also the big button in the bottom right corner that says Finish Today.

I haven't tried letting the AI manage my minors since the first time when it released a quarter of my players the first day. I agree with Baseball Man's answers to questions 2 and 3. Potential equals probablility in non-recalc universes. For 3 it depends upon your on-field mangerial skills. Some posters claim to gain a five or even ten game per season advantage over the 'inept' AI. My experience has been that the AI is smarter than I am, and I'm costing myself games by playing them out, but I play them out anyway because I love it. |
