Fictional League Question

Here is the situation, i made a custom fictional league (based on a book series that I love) that I had intended to just use myself. My roommate saw what I was doing and decided he'd like to control one of the teams. So after I spent hours customizing names, logos, uniforms, ect. I made a back up copy of the league file so that I could go back and do my solo fictional league at a later time, while using the current file for our league.

My question is, I do not want the same fictional players in my solo league as I do with me and my buddies league. How do I delete and resupply the backup file with new fictional rosters? There has to be a fairly easy way to do this, but I cannot figure it out.

Release all players to FA.

Under the FA window, delete all players.

Under game setup, fill all teams with fictional players.

One small problem with that, I clicked Inaugural Draft at league set up, so I cannot get the player base into free agency. They all just appear in Show All Players tab and not at all in free agency pool.

Any other suggestions?

NOTE - One thing I did find was an option in game setup to fill all teams with fictional players, which I can do, but I believe all the other players will still be in the league, meaning I would have twice as many players as before. Essentially, the question now becomes, how can you get players from draft pool into free agency or assigned to a team without going through the draft (unless of course you can delete histories also, then you could sim the draft, then release all players to free agency, delete all free agents and start anew).

You can delete them all one at a time, which is a pain, or you can run your draft, then release to FA. Of course they will all show up in your history then. So if you don't want that, you can delete them all, but not sure what that will do to your league since it's set for an inaugural draft.

Only other option I know of is to set it all up again and "don't" have an inaugural draft. Of course if you set it all up again your problem will be solved since you'll get different players anyway.

Figured it out. I simmed the draft, released all players to free agency, deleted all players in free agency, then deleted entire league history. So, all I have to do is fill teams with fictional players, then release for inaugural draft and its done!
