Scheduling question
I just created a new league with 8 teams in the AL East, 8 teams in the AL West, 8 teams in the NL East and 8 teams in the NL West.
When I go to do the schedule, it's not gelling with how the regular MLB schedule is. It has weekend series going Thurs/Fri/Sat with Sunday almost always being an off day rather than the normal Fri/Sat/Sun weekend series. I've tried everything possible that I know to fix this, what am I missing here? |

One possible way is to export the schedule file, then open it up in Notepad (though the OOTP schedule files have an .lsdl file name extension, then are essentially text filed). Look for the string of text at the top of file which says something like this:
start_day_of_week="3" This controls what day of the week the season will start on, with 1 = Sunday, 2 = Monday, and so on. Try changing this value to one digit higher than whatever it's set at in the file. That should push all the series back one day. Alternatively, try using the "Force Start on Certain Weekday" option in the Schedule Options section of league setup. This tells OOTP to start the season's schedule on the specified day of the week. So find out what day of the week you're starting on now, and then push it back one day. (See this page in the OOTP online manual, and scroll down to the Schedule Options section.) |
