Site with L/R Historical Splits?
I've been doing some searching over the last couple days, but have come up empty...hoping someone here maybe can answer this.
I'm looking for a site that has L/R splits for players on one page. IE: 1985 Cardinals. I can goto baseball-reference and pull up the batting stats for the players on the team that year, but if I want to see the L/R splits, I have to click on each individual player, choose splits, choose year. Trying to do a lot of these really takes up a lot of time. Is there any place or way to find these all grouped together on one page? Or is there any other data sources out there that can be imported into excel that has this? Baseball-reference is awesome for historical stats, but it's getting to be a pain to have to look at each players L/R splits like this. |

You can get a lot of the data you seek from Retrosheet.org, a site that is dedicated to compiling historical box score data.
They compile such things as lefty/righty splits. You can find what they have here: http://www.retrosheet.org/boxesetc/1985/UPSLN01985.htm edit: you may have to go to individual player pages to get all the info for the 1985 Cards. Last edited by bigMatt; 07-17-2009 at 08:59 PM. |

Thanks, but my main issue is finding somewhere that has the splits listed on the main page. Retrosheet and baseball-reference are both pretty much the same, but neither lists splits without having to go into each individual players pages. It seems like no site has this setup.....heck, most places don't even list splits at all.
