I wonder how 1-54 in 59 starts to begin the season could project to 0-26 in 29 starts for the season.

Look at his numbers the past few seasons--I don't get why there are even players of that quality at any level. That guy wouldn't be fit to pitch in a retirement community league. There needs to be some kind of minimum setting for player ability.

It'd be much funnier if the player's morale were "great" instead of "angry". The infamy of being the worst pitcher in minor league history might make him happy.

The trouble is this: there is no gym teacher code, or, if it is present, then it does not work well.
There are far too many guys who simply hang on too long in the minor leagues. This guy should have given up on baseball several years back, settled down, got married, and become a gym teacher at a high school. Minor league ball is brutally Darwinian. Guys who has been the best ball player on the field for the last 15 years figure out that they are just a guy and quit. That does not happen often enough in OOTP. |

Now really... if you were an OOTP player would you choose to hang on "too long" in the minors, or would you choose the only other option available in OOTP - to retire into oblivion! Even worse in leagues where we've chosen delete those who don't reach the majors! I don't want to be nothing, and I definitely don't want you to delete me from history!

I used to catch him, out on the ball field, for fun. He was a pitcher. There is no doubt in my mind he had a 95+ mph heater. The dude could flat out bring it. It was all I could do, to just catch him. |
