Question re: how playoffs are scheduled

My league just completed it's first season and we are in the middle of the playoffs. We have three rounds scheduled with the first being best of five and the second being best of seven.

I expected the playoffs to be scheduled like in real life, so the best of five series would be two games, day off, two games, day off, one game. While the best of seven is two games, day off, three games, day off, two games.

What I also expected was that it would keep this structure whether the full five or seven games needed to be played in the round. So for example, if in the second round the teams sweep their opponents in 4 games, all the games that weren't played would now become off days. So five days would pass in the calendar before the next round was played.

But in our second round, the teams were done by game six and instead of getting two days off before the next round, it only put a single game. Is there a way to change this manually or otherwise?
