Why do players drafted in expansion draft get league minimum $$$?

Maybe it was just my game, but I added two teams to my league through the expansion draft. The players that were drafted were said to have been "released" by their previous organization and they were paid the league minimum with the expansion teams.

Why? Wouldn't their contracts need to move with them to the new team? Otherwise guys that were promised 5-10 times more than the league minimum are now getting paid much less.

This is a serious bug. Could someone verify this? I'll make sure it gets included in a bug report for ootp 12. I would check but I'm not by the game. Did you change anything when you set up your league or did you use default settings? Did you change any financial information? Any rule changes? All of that will help us nail this one down.

My online league is getting ready to expand and would like more input from people on this.

Fictional league. 16 teams. 8 teams in 2 leagues. One league expanded to 10 teams. The year was 1915. The league started in 1900.

Default settings. No rule changes. I use "automatically adjust to historical settings" for both finances and for stats.

i have experienced this same problem in my solo league. i have historical finances turned on but i have messed with free agent service times some over the seasons. any expansion draft results in all players drafted receiving the league minimum.

So is this only happening for those using historical finances? Can anyone verify that this is not an issue with standard finances?

Once you have gathered as much information as possible to help narrow down the problem, you need to log this as a bug in the tracking system, as no one will check for it here in the forums and it is a serious problem. Instructions are here:
