I've tried a few times to set a MR with good stamina to SP in the hopes that he would either do OK with 2 pitches, or develop additional pitches. Neither has happened so far. It does seem like I've had a couple of SPs develop extra pitches, though. I could be mistaken on that last point, but I'm fairly certain a couple SPs with 4 pitches ended up with 5.
Has anyone actually had an MR develop another pitch after being set to SP? On a similar note, what does setting an MR to CL affect? I'm going to close my CL soon and I have several promising MRs who could potentially replace him. I'm wondering which one makes the most sense to switch, or if I should just shop for a young pitcher who's a CL already. Thanks! |

I have used the internal computer to set up pitching staff and if a MR pitcher is better than a CL it will insert him. I have then changed this same MR to CL with no ill effects.
