Quick Mac Question

Yes...I know this has been asked before but I'll be darned if I could find it by using search:

Under Mac Lion, how do you make the Application Library accessible so you can have access to the save files?

Hold down the option/alt key and it will make the library accessible from within finder (go menu)

click finder, then at the top menu bar select go, then go to, then type in ~/library

I'm a little puzzled: after clicking GO where do I go to to type in the ~/library command?
