League File Got TOO Large... Help!?!
So, I have a league which had three successful seasons in OOTP 11 but, have now moved on to OOTP 12. What a disaster. The BIGGEST issue is the league file... sure, it was large since I like to save everything and keep as many reports, box scores, etc... as possible but, 5+ GB???? Even when I zip it for the guys to download, it's well over 2GB. I don't know if THAT's why some of my GM's have had problems getting the game going but, I need help trimming it down. Why do I hear, "I'm in 3 leagues and your file is the largest and longest to download."? Is it even an issue? So far, I've lost 3 GM's in the conversion process due to just that. and many more have complained... My league has been a favorite for many and these last two weeks have been hell... HELP!?!

Best guess is that you are including images in every league file. Don't. It makes the file huge. Provide images periodically in separate files which will be quite large but will spare normal game updates to be much smaller.

How about going into league file settings and having a look at your settings? That'd be a good place to start.

That's quite vague. I've changed the settings to only include major league pictures... what else am I supposed to change? How do I make a bare bones version of the file for people to download and which images folder do I zip for those who want all of the images?

Make sure "new and changed images" is unchecked on the "archive and upload league file" section of your commish control panel.
You can zip up the xxx.lg/news/html/images from your league file and that will include all the player images and team logos.
