Scorer issue...
Interesting how one finds "bugs"...
I was looking for a way to write up a news story for a simulated game, so I went through the boxscore screen, and through the game log. There I found this scenario: Bottom 8th, 2 outs, starter gives up a 2-out single. In comes a reliever. The reliever throws 3 balls, then gets tagged for a 2-run HR. After hitting the next batter, a 2nd reliever comes in. The 1st reliever was charged with: 0 innings, 1 hit, 2 earned runs <ending his season-long scoreless streak of 30 1/3 IP>, 8 pitches, 5 strikes (though looking back, it seems he only threw 7 pitches, 3 strikes). He should have been charged with 1 run only - the home run. The runner was inherited, therefore not his. BTW - in the boxscore, it also states :"Inherited runners-scored: 1-0" Any ideas? Would this be classified as a bug? Is this a scorer's mistake? |

I mentioned this in the Bug Thread:
"Imported league from 12 starting pitcher (home team) went 6 inninings. Team was losing going into bottom 6 by 1 run..home team scored 2 to take a 3-2 lead which ended up the fnal score. Reliever starting the 7th got the win....it should have been the starter getting the win." So I am not sure if it's a bug or just a scoring mistake....has anyone else seen these things? |

You said he hit the next batter after he gave up the HR, did that baserunner come around to score? If so that would be the 2nd run he was charged with
