For Daves - Age Min/Max

For my 1st set of SS's I created a Fictional League and went to advanced Options - Rules and set the age min at 17 and max at 24.

For my 2nd test you are correct.
I used my 2011 MLB league as my base, went to add league, chose Fictional League and could not access Adv Options at all during setup.
I took control of the Austin Sycamores. I didn't see a Draft Pool screen. I went to League Menu - Setup - Rules and set age min to 17 and max to 24. Saved the game (not sure if it was needed)
Went to List all FBL players, noticed that there was 944 players and deleted them all. Went to Create Fictional Players and made them Draft Eligible Prospects and available for the next draft.
min age is 17 , I don't see any 24 yr olds.

Thanks for this. I will give it a try. I was trying a historical season. I wonder if you hold an inaugural draft with ages limits if it would eliminate the old men?

I tried a Fictional League with players 19 to 24. But somehow my roster had players above 24? Many 29 and players in their 30's.

How did you delete players over 25?

Ok. Somehow I got it to work. My league is set for 19 to 25. What happens when someone turns 26 next season???

Should be pushed into the FA pool, if you're talking about the roster rules limits.

If you did the age min/max at start up under Adv options then you shouldn't have had any players over your max. To Delete them Go to List All XXX Players and sort it by age (Commish Mode) and slect all the players over the age you want to delete and then right click and delete those players.

This is one of those little matters that crop up with age limits. Should the player be kicked off the team immediately if his birthday falls during the season? Should it wait until the end of the season? Should age for the season instead be counted as of opening day?

Ideally we should be able to choose what happens, but I appreciate that my fever for making every little damn thing an option isn't shared by everyone .

Well, practicality objections do factor in as well.

I still want service limits. Those are a big thing IMO.
