BTP2: New 1960 League!

An exciting opportunity to get in on the ground floor of an established league!

Born to Play started with the 1954 season in January 2011 and made it to the end of the 1959 season. Unfortunately, we experienced insurmountable file problems and made the decision to move on with a *new* 1960 league. An incredible 13 GMs are returning, many of which have been in the league since Day 1.

That leaves us with three open teams:

Major League 1960 Home

Chicago White Sox
Detroit Tigers
Cincinnati Reds

The plan is to convert to OOTP13 around the all-star break of the 2012 MLB season. We want to avoid most of the patching process.

We'll use the same rules which served us well in the original BTP:

rookies are assigned to their original teams, no draft
three 14 day sims a week for a quick pace
We've adopted divisional play (2 divisional leaders, no wild card) and will adopt a wild card in 1964 (after expansion teams have settled in)

The website is still transitioning over to BTP2.

Just an announcement we are going to start with OOTP13 and will post an ad in the OOTP13 forum tomorrow.
